Where are tip over switches mainly used?

As an important safety protection device, tip over switches are widely used in various types of equipment that need to prevent safety accidents caused by accidental tipping due to their unique tip-over sensing mechanism.

In the field of industrial machinery, such as large injection molding machines, cutting equipment or tall movable equipment, installing tip over switches is a key safety measure. Once the equipment is abnormally tilted or even tipped due to external impact, uneven ground or operating errors, the precision mechanism inside the tip-over switch (such as balls, pendulums or mercury bubbles) will immediately sense and trigger the action, quickly cut off the power supply of the equipment or the control system power supply, and force the equipment to stop running, effectively preventing the machine from tipping over and injuring people, seriously damaging the equipment or causing secondary accidents (such as short circuit fire, workpiece splashing).

Tip-over switches are also common in the field of household appliances, such as heaters, electric oil heaters, large floor fans, and juicers/cookers. Take heating equipment as an example. When a user accidentally knocks it over, the tip over switch will instantly cut off the power supply to the heating element, preventing the high-temperature heating element from contacting carpets, clothing and other flammable materials and causing fires. It also protects users from being burned by the tipped-over heat source, which is especially important in a home environment with children or pets.

In addition, some sophisticated medical or experimental instruments may also be equipped with a tip-over switch to ensure that the instrument is immediately powered off when it accidentally tips over, protecting expensive and potentially dangerous internal core components from impact damage, and ensuring the safe interruption of experimental data or medical operations. In short, the tip over switch is an essential core safety line to ensure the stable operation of the equipment and prevent the risk of tipping.
